Arcadis brengt jaarlijks het International Construction Costs (ICC)-rapport uit. Hierin staat een vergelijking tussen ’s werelds grootste steden en bouwkosten. Amsterdam en Rotterdam zitten er ook in en scoren gemiddeld. Beide steden zijn ongeveer 1 procent duurder geworden in vergelijking met vorig jaar. Rotterdam staat nu 53e (57 vorig jaar) en Amsterdam 54e (58 vorig jaar) op de index. Londen, New York en Hong Kong zijn de duurste steden om in te bouwen. De goedkoopste steden komen uit India met Bangalore, New Delhi en Mumbai als hekkensluiters op deze index.
