Job description
Are you passionate about precision engineering and mechanical 3D measurements? As an Analyst Mechanical Testroom, you will play a key role in supporting the development of next-generation print process engines, helping to revolutionize the world of printing. Your expertise as an Analyst Mechanical Testroom will be critical in providing accurate measurements that drive cutting-edge technology forward.

Responsibilities:

  • As an Analyst Mechanical Testroom you will work within the Mechanical Testroom, part of the Physical Analysis cluster in the Analysis & Measurements department
  • You will operate advanced 3D measurement equipment. This includes a 3D CMM with a measurement volume of 4x2x1m³ and a multisensory 3D machine combining probing and optical measurements.
  • You will work in a small, specialized team to conduct complex 3D measurements on parts and subassemblies for our print engines.
  • You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers from Research & Development and Manufacturing, helping them enhance the quality of our printing systems.
​​​​​​​Additionally:
  • You will support Quality Assurance teams in troubleshooting production challenges and identifying root causes in assembly processes.
  • You will determine the optimal measurement approach by interpreting CAD drawings, designing measurement strategies, writing programs, and executing tests. You will then translate the results into actionable advice, reports, or innovative solutions.
  • Effectively communicate results and solutions to various teams.

Job requirements
We are looking for an Analyst Mechanical Testroom with a passion for experimental setups, measurement tooling, and delivering pragmatic, results-driven solutions. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to develop creative, effective solutions.
You should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics or (Applied) Physics.
  • Demonstrated affinity with mechanical 3D measurements. 1-3 years of experience in this field is a plus.
  • Aukom certification (Level 1 or 2) or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with writing programs for 3D measurements or production processes, preferably in PC-DMIS, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Strong ability to translate findings into actionable solutions, inspiring and convincing stakeholders.

Terms of employment

It concerns a secondment agreement at Canon (Océ ) via Yacht for one year, with possibility of extension and permanent contract at the company; for 40 hours per week.

We offer a competitive package of employment conditions according to the seniority of the position (salary between €3200-€5300,- gross per period of 4 weeks, based on 40 h per week).
